Major Exclusions:Pre-existing conditions, self-inflicted injury, conditions caused by chronic alcoholism or drug addiction, mental disorders, illegal acts, pregnancy, congenital anomalies and acts of war.
Exclusions for Personal Belongings Coverage:
・Money, such as cash, stored value cards (e.g. Octopus cards) , electronic money (paid by computer or mobile phone), cheques, postal orders, bankers drafts, travellers cheques, travel tickets, saving certificates, stamps, gift tokens, telephone cards, etc.
・the property left unattended intentionally
・the loss more specifically insured by any other insurance policies or otherwise reimbursed by KMB
・tickets, food, pets/animals, furniture, business goods, documents, hired property, data, artificial teeth, contact lens, etc.
You can claim for the wallet itself. For example, you bought a leather wallet for HK$800. During a KMB bus trip, you lost your wallet. You can make a claim for it. The maximum coverage per item is HK$1,000.
However, the loss of money in the wallet is not covered. Money means cash, stored value cards (e.g. Octopus cards), electronic money (paid by computer or mobile phone), cheques, postal orders, banker drafts, traveler cheques, travel tickets, saving certificates, stamps, gift tokens, telephone cards, etc.

1. Check the deductibles(the amount you pay before filing a claim):
・Loss or Theft of Personal Belongings (HK$ 200 deductible per incident)
・Accidental Medical Expenses (HK$ 500 deductible for Chinese Bonesetter or Acupuncturist)
2. Report to the local police and KMB within 24 hours of the loss or theft of personal belongings. 2 reports are essential for claim submission.
3. Within 30 days of the incident, please submit your claims in YAS app.
4. You can make multiple claims until reaching the respective benefit coverage limit.
