The gap
Traditional insurance rarely covers small losses on bus journeys. KMB and YAS embedded cover into the Monthly Pass — no extra purchase required.
Solution
An embedded registration flow so protection follows the Monthly Pass automatically.
Eligible for HKID holders aged 18–70 with a valid Monthly Pass.
Enter your Octopus ID linked to the pass and basic details on the YAS website or app.
After confirmation email and policy, KMB journeys are covered for the pass period.
YAS App → My Coverage → BUS RYDE → File a claim; specialist support within 48 hours.
“KMB hopes to care for passengers in small ways — BUS RYDE helps reduce the impact of lost belongings.”

BUS RYDE covers practical commute scenarios — lost belongings and accidental injury.

HK$2,000

HK$5,000
Medical costs from bus accidents, e.g. sudden braking or falls (pre-existing conditions excluded).
