The maximum compensation you are entitled per ticket package / monthly pass for is: 1. Accidental Death and Disablement – HK$200,000 2. Accidental Medical Expenses – HK$5,000 3. Why do I need / buy / use RYDE with YAS?

(Source: Traffic Department) RYDE with YAS is created to safeguard you against unpredictable situations during your daily commute in Hong Kong. Our protection includes any accidents and personal belongings while you’re riding as a passenger on any public transportation, uber, or even your friend’s car.

Who is the insurer and underwriter of the RYDE with YAS policy?

Does the plan have worldwide coverage?

RYDE with YAS protection currently only includes commuters within Hong Kong. We save the best for our home town!

What are the major exclusions?

Accepted Answer

Pre-existing conditions, self-inflicted injury, acts of war, illegal acts, pregnancy, mental disorders, conditions caused by chronic alcoholism or drug addiction, or congenital anomalies. Exclusions for coverage on personal items: money*, food, pet/animals, business goods, furnitures, artificial teeth, tickets, documents, contact lens, data, hired property, and property left unattended intentionally. Money means cash, stored value cards (such as Octopus cards) and electronic money which is exchanged electronically over a technical device such as a computer or mobile phone, currency notes, coins, cheques, postal orders, bankers drafts, travellers cheques, travel tickets, saving certificates, stamps, gift tokens, telephone cards and the like. Please refer to RYDE with YAS policy provisions and RYDE with YAS product brochure for details of full exclusions and terms and conditions.

Is there any waiting period for RYDE with YAS policy?

No. After you successfully purchased the 10 RYDE with YAS tickets or the Monthly Unlimited Pass and received the policy confirmation email, your protection will be activated. To enjoy the protection of the tickets/monthly pass, press the "Start" button and you will immediately enjoy the RYDE with YAS protection for up to 90 minutes.

Can I terminate my RYDE with YAS policy?

You can cancel the policy any time by giving 7 days’ written notice. You can also find more details about termination in the RYDE with YAS policy provisions .

Can I request my transportation records to be deleted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Please send your request to rylie@hk.yas.io . Keep in mind that once this data is deleted, you will have to provide relevant transportation data for claims.

If I am a UBER driver, is that covered?

No. At this moment, RYDE with YAS only supports riders/passengers.

Are bikes covered?

No. Bikers are not included in RYDE with YAS.
